How many keep the bike ready to go all year?
How many take off insurence, do projects, etc?

I keep mine ready to go until Halloween then take collision off and park it deep in the garage, take the battery out, and cover it up.

As for taking it back out in Spring, it really depends how bad the riding bug's biting me at the time.

My bike is already safely tucked in for the winter, carbs run dry and battery removed.  Global warming or not, neither the bike nor I like cold weather and they don't make snow tires for motorcycles.

My insurance company bases their rates on 6 months of riding weather so there's really no advantage for me to cancel the insurance and renew it in the spring.

Depends on the winter. This year I rode in Nov, Dec, Feb and now March. So not really worth winterizing for me.
