Hey Everyone,
The bike that I ordered hasn't come in yet, so the dealership was nice enough to give me a rental of the same type of bike to ride this weekend. So I ventured out on my maiden voyage and I was expecting sore body parts from straddling the bike but I wasn't counting on the sore hands and wrists I have. Is that to be expected or am I doing something wrong? The bike is a sport bike, a Hyosung GT250R.
Happy Riding!

you get use to it and build the muscles as you use them.
your body is not use to a forward pent position or arms bearing some wieght. Prior to a long trip ensure you have riden in the weeks prior.
My first ride this season was to and from calgary and I was sore, Just last weekend I went from red deer to williams lake and back(2,000km) and was fine.
If you wnet for a 1h walk you would also be sore if you had nto been walking a lot in the months prior. Just the way the body works.

Grip tank with your knees and legs. Arms should be loose. You do not actually need to "steer" the bike straight at all, and the times inputs are needed.....a tight grip will not be what the bike wants from its rider.

Hahaha.. priceless!!
I love the wing position. Hopefully someday I will be able to afford a BMW GTL and take that out for a month long road trip I have been longing for

Twist of the Wrist vol II
Buy it and watch to DVD ( its free on YouTube).
Every day you rude focus on a single, specific something you need to get better at.
Is it a looser grip? Tighter knees? Smoother throttle/break application? Body positioning? Just pick one thing per day and work on it. If you commute mon to fri. Work on single things mon to thurs, and put it together friday.
Oh, and loosen your grip on the handle bars
