Welcome to the Alberta Motorcycle Community!

The idea behind this site is to create an online community where riders can come together, regardless of their riding backgrounds, and:

 - Share their riding experiences
 - Share upcoming motorcycle-related events from around the province (see the 'Calendar' link above)
 - Organize group rides with other fellow riders
 - Lobby for free downtown motorcycle parking
 - Learn how to import a motorcycle from the US
 - Share trip reports

I also want to make it a place where new riders can learn and get tips from more experienced riders, both online, through the message boards, and offline during organized group rides, meets or events.

The site is not sport- touring- cruiser- dual-sport- or dirt- specific and we encourage all riders from all backgrounds to join and share their experiences.

You'll notice that this site is relatively new so I encourage you all to register and leave some feedback. I'm pretty flexible to requests and would be willing to make any changes necessary to improve our online community.

It's possible that I'll make another run on Ride to Work day this year but I haven't decided yet.  It didn't seem to drive too many people to the site so I might try a different (and more environmentally friendly) approach to direct riders to the site.

perhaps get a Facebook account? since everyone's mostly on it....
